Our Mission
At Mezcal Trascendente, every bottle carries a purpose beyond spirits. The hummingbird , el colibrí, is more than a symbol; it is nature’s messenger and a guardian of agave pollination. Our mission is simple: to ensure these fragile birds continue to thrive in Mexico and beyond.
What We Do
We are committed to protecting pollinators and their ecosystems through:
Assisted Feeding → Providing food for hummingbirds that cannot yet feed on their own.
Safe Rehabilitation Spaces → Working with sanctuaries to give injured or weakened hummingbirds a place to recover.
Public Education → Raising awareness and teaching communities about hummingbird conservation practices.
Terraza Colibrí: Our Partner in Preservation
At the heart of our mission is our partnership with Terraza Colibrí (click here to view their social), a sanctuary dedicated to the care and protection of hummingbirds. Together we:
Carry out assisted feeding programs.
Provide safe spaces for rehabilitation and recovery.
Lead public education initiatives to encourage pollinator-friendly practices.
Organize a safe release back into nature, when a bird is strong enough to fly free and continue its vital role as a pollinator.
This work transforms every bottle of Mezcal Trascendente into direct action, giving vulnerable hummingbirds a second chance at life.
Why It Matters
Without pollinators, there is no agave. Without agave, there is no mezcal. Protecting hummingbirds is protecting our culture, our heritage, and our future. Every bottle turns heritage into action and action into preservation.
